📌 Quick Summary
  • A strong password needs 12+ characters mixing uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols
  • Length beats complexity — a 16-char random password is virtually uncrackable
  • Never use dictionary words, personal info, or predictable patterns
  • Use a cryptographic random generator for true strength

What Makes a Password Strong?

A strong password has three key qualities: length (12+ characters), complexity (mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, symbols), and unpredictability (no dictionary words or patterns).

Length

Every additional character exponentially increases possible combinations. 8 chars = ~6.6 quadrillion; 12 chars = 475 undecillion. Use 12-char generator.

Complexity

Only lowercase = 26 options/char. All 4 types = 95 options. A 12-char all-types password is 2^48 times stronger.

Unpredictability

Avoid dictionary words, names, birthdays, keyboard patterns. Our cryptographic generator creates truly random passwords.
